Power: We say that Power is the deliberate use of skills to mobilize resources to produce a change. Our "newmath", technical definition is:
Creative Power Frontier: A zone of human interaction where power is used constructively, collaboratively, and synergistically to create outcomes that are beyond predictable, minimal expectations. Zero-Sum: A "zero-sum" outcome occurs when in a dispute, a plus 1 for me is a minus 1 for you, and the "game" "zeros" out. A win-lose view of life. Win-Win: In constrast to "Win-Lose" outcomes, both you and I can have a plus 1, or more. The "game" is integrative. An additive view of life. 1+1=3: A novel approach using the metaphor of math to present concepts such as power, synergy, and humanity's potential of living at the Creative Power Frontier by moving on a "power axis" from forms of "power over" to "power with". Power Over: A term to describe oppressive uses of power; power is used to impose an outcome, to dominate. Power With: A term to describe liberating uses of power; power is used cooperatively to collaborate with the potential of synergistic win-win outcomes. Knowledge-Action Gap: The assertion that we have enough theory, policy, and tools to be more effective now, in eliminating political violence but they are not used often enough, early enough, or for long enough. Organized Violence or Political Violence: This is direct violence (the use of force) by states and groups to achieve their objectives and structural violence which is the institutional, policy, and procedural practices which exclude, injure, and perpetuate injustice on people.
